A A survey on Recommendation Systems for Academic Advising: methods, applications, and challenges

Abstract

Recommendation systems play an increasingly important role in education, especially in supporting Academic Advisors. However, there are not many specific solutions for recommendation systems specifically for Academic Advisors. This article focuses on analyzing research that has been conducted on Academic Advisors, reviewing consulting methods, implementation methods, achieved results as well as remaining limitations. The survey results will help provide an overview of current research directions and suggest future directions for improvement.
